Brown Dog University has two pools for dock diving practice open April 1st - October TBD.   Dock diving rental and swimming are available by appointment 6 days a week (closed Mondays and during trial events).   We are a North American Diving Dogs/AKC sanctioned facility, and host 6 competitive trials each season.  For our trial schedule and to sign up for an upcoming trial, click the NADD link at the top of the page.

I want my dog to dock dive!

Super!  You're in the right place!  You first need to determine whether your dog is gung-ho and ready to take flight.  Or, if they need to learn to swim before we can learn to fly.   A boingy or springy dog isn't the sole ingredient for dock diving dog.  Dogs must love to chase toys, should be fairly confident in unfamiliar environments and around loud noises such as cheering, groups of people/dogs, and music, and who also love to charge into the water to swim.

If you are pretty sure this sport was made for your dog, and they already fly off the local marina dock, consider joining us for one of our twice a week dock sessions).

DOCK DIVING LESSONS

• 25 Minutes ... $45 (2 dogs max per scheduled slot)
• 3 pack lessons ... $125 
• Ultimate Competitor Lesson Package* ... $1,000 (2 dogs max per scheduled slot)

*New for 2022!  23 private lesson sessions. This package would essentially offer you the opportunity for 1 lesson slot a week for the summer season at BDU.  Purchaser is eligible to schedule up to 2 lesson per week maximum until their package runs out.  Only one package per household will be allowed in 2022 as we try out this new approach for our goal focused competitors. This package comes with special scheduling privileges which will allow arranging for lessons up to 3 months in advance.

ORGANIZED DOG CLUB GROUP RATES  

• 4 hours (2 hours of on the dock instruction for your entire group + 2 hours    ... $400

Our pools are always sanitized and balanced twice daily with the highest quality filtration and Bioguard products.  In addition, we add a conditioner to our pool water to help keep skin irritant free, and your dog's coat soft and very pettable.
